The Inaugural Music & Media Entertainment Conference in Columbus Georgia!

August 13th, 2017 became an evening to remember as history was made on many levels for the Columbus Ga entertainment community. The 1st Annual Music & Media Entertainment networking conference was a one of a kind hybrid event that showcased well over 20 speakers and nearly 20 vendors in an information packed session at the Historic Liberty Theater capped off by some dynamic talent local to the Columbus Georgia and surrounding areas.

The event totaled 4 hours, life long connections were made and the audience got to learn much of the inside track on business and brand building with good tips on how to get auditions and make your presence known in just about any industry you can think of. The main feature was the honoring of the Columbus borne group Basic black as councilmen Pops Barnes (of District 1)and Bruce Huff (of District 3) worked with the event producer LaShon Smith to present the dynamic group with a proclamation declaring August 13th, 2017 as Basic Black Day.

The event, originally a TAP Events production, morphed into a beautiful tapestry of those  who came together to make the event possible such as Monsta Fam Music Group, Talented Studios photography, Velvet Voiceover’s Eric Fowler who was the event host and MC, LaShon Smith (radio personality and voice actress), and many more such as the performers and speakers that all came out to make the event a memorable event and the first of its kind to grace Columbus Georgia and surrounding areas. Take a look at the website line up here to see a list of performers and speakers who made the event the success it became.
