WNBA Atlanta Dream finished the season 12-22

Atlanta Dream Struggled through a 9 game losing streak in the month of July and August.   4-30 season was the worst  in their first season with the league.  Head coach Michael Cooper was fired after the 2nd worst season since 2008.  Coopers 4 years with an overall record of 63-73  the Atlanta Dream told Cooper his services are no longer needed.  Atlanta struggled this year with out one of its star athletes Angel McCoughtry who decided to sit out this season to rest.  Furthermore not playing in their home arena Philips Arena due to renovation and had to play all the home games at the McCamish Pavilion at Georgia Tech campus.  The Atlanta Dream will return an exciting young roster in 2018 led by All-Star Tiffany Hayes, Layshia Clarendon and Elizabeth Williams, as well as Rookie of the year Brittney Sykes
