Actor MAURICE JOHNSON (“When the Bough Breaks”) will play the role of ‘Washed-up Man’ on this week’s episode of “Vampire Diaries.”  The episode titled, “The Lies are Going to Catch Up to You” airs Friday, February 17 at 8pm EST.  This episode will also include leading characters Paul Wesley (“Fallen”), Ian Somerhalder (“Lost”), Kat Graham (“17 Again”/”Parent Trap”), Candice King (“Juno”), Zach Roerig (“As the World Turns”/”Rings”), Matthew Davis (“Legally Blonde”), and Michael Malarkey (“Ghost in the Machine”).

About Vampire Diaries:
Vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore, battle for the affection of selfless teenager, Elena Gilbert. Stefan is the good and kind-hearted brother that feeds on animal blood to keep from killing anybody, and Damon is the selfish and dangerous older brother that feeds on human blood carelessly. Elena is brought into the supernatural world that she was hidden from as a girl, and surrounds herself with a circle of human and supernatural friends, ready to fight the hunters and enemies that wait for them in the shadows.

Maurice is a TV and film talent known for his demanding presence and versatility on screen. He has over 30 film and television credits including co-star and guest star roles on hit shows like Hawaii Five-O, The Catch, Nashville, Devious Maids, The Vampire Diaries and Tyler Perry’s ‘For Better or Worse’ to name a few. He has appeared in movies like When the Bough Breaks and Joyful Noise and the upcoming feature film The Billionaire Boys Club alongside Kevin Spacey, Taron Egerton and Emma Stone. He has also been seen in a number of regional and national commercials for clients like SunTrust and Ford. Maurice began his quest for the arts as a Speech and Theatre major at Albany State University. In college Maurice also did a juggling act as he was a member of ASU’s powerhouse championship football program in the late 90’s. At Albany State he was also initiated into the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He moved to Atlanta after graduating from ASU and continued to perform on stage in both local and regionally produced stage plays. His first major commercial for SunTrust is where he was first seen on TV. The rest is history and he’s poised for a major breakout year with movies and films that will be airing for the next few months.
