The Annual Steeple Awards Celebrates Gospel Artists and Ministry Leaders on April 21st.
The Southeast’s largest Gospel awards show is set for Saturday, April 21, 2018 and will feature a live performance by multiple awards winner JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise and many more. This year the award show will be hosted by comedian GRIFF of “Get Up Mornings” w/ Erica Campbell, locally on Praise 102.5 in Atlanta, GA and Nationally in 40 additional US markets.
Now in it’s third year, The Steeple Awards brings together some of the biggest names in gospel music and ministry to celebrate their work on the frontline in the battle for souls. This year’s show is set for Saturday, April 21, 2018 and features an all-star lineup of performers and nominees, and an iconic roster of honorees who have committed their lives to building the church and transforming lives through Christ.
“The Steeple Awards identifies and celebrates ministry leaders and gospel music artists who have earned widespread acclaim as well as those whose contributions have previously gone largely unacknowledged,” said Dr. C. Chandon Carter, the show’s creator. “Prepare for a night of powerful testimonies and powerhouse performances. We’re excited to showcase the work that God is doing through these faithful servants.”
This year’s Steeple Awards will feature live performances from JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, Isabel Davis, Charles Butler & Trinity, David Walker & High Praise, Angelina Sherie Barrett, and Holy Hip Hop breakout star 1K Phew.
Six ministry leaders will be honored with the prestigious Nehemiah Award, they are Pastor Andre Landers of iThrive Church Riverdale, GA. Bishop Donald E. Battle, Divine Faith Ministries International Jonesboro, GA. Bishop William L. Sheals Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Norcross, GA. Rev. Dr. Gregory A. Sutton of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, Atlanta, GA. Bishop Greg Davis of Celebration Church, Detroit, MI., and Pastor T.J. McBride of Tabernacle of Praise Church International, McDonough, GA. Famed gospel singer Dorothy Norwood will receive the Reverend Dr. Clay Evans Lifetime Achievement Award, and The Humanitarian of The Year Award will be given to Apostle Dr. Franklin Battle Sr.
The awards show will be hosted by comedian, GRIFF of “Get Up Mornings” with Erica Campbell, locally on Praise 102.5 in Atlanta, GA and 40 additional USA markets. The list of 2018 presenters is still growing and includes business owners who have this award show in their hearts.
