The NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons opens the 2017 – 2018 on the road against the Chicago Bears. The Falcon held off the Bears with a win of 23 -17, after the Bears stayed in the game up until the final whistle. The Falcons took a 10 -3 lead in the second quarter on Devonta Freeman 5 yard touchdown run. The Chicago Bears did tie the game with 14 seconds left in the first half when Cohen took the snap and handed it Jordan Howard for a 4 yard touchdown capping off a 75 yard match down the field.
