Two years ago, I took the plunge into learning how to blog. I told a friend that I needed to find someone knowledgeable I was then introduced to Ashley Marshall-Seward, one of the top Family Oriented blogs in the country: Mommy Week. As her I and sat down and talked, she informed me that conferences would provide the networking and ongoing education I would need to keep up with the current trends. The first conference she mentioned was Blogalicious.
Blogalicious is a vibrant online community and IRL annual conference experience that elevates women multicultural social media influencers, creatives and entrepreneurs.
Fast forward to 2017, I hadn’t had the chance to connect with the Blogalicious brand until last week when I saw online that there would be a Pop-Up mixer in Atlanta!
I almost didn’t make it there (okay, I forgot to put on my calendar…lol), but I am sooo glad I made it!
I ran into food blogger Kim Bryant, and together we signed in and walked into the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen: a room full of women just like me! The women there were all bloggers and influencers (many nationally known and respected), networking, sharing hugs and resources.
I had one of those moments similiar to the cartoons when the harps started playing…lol
I WAS HOME!
They embraced me, we laughed, we danced, and even had a panel discussion about finding and embracing your tribe (which is ironic because I just created a tribe over here at the blog)
I ran into some great influencers I already knew
And made some new friends throughout the afternoon
I was sold!
The 9th annual Blogalicious Conference will be in Miami, FL this year Oct 5-8, and I MUST THERE!
I dont care if I have to fry fish, walk dogs, or do cartwheels for money, this is an atmosphere that I must experience again!
