The Fox Theatre is pleased to announce “Some Like it Hot” as the fan favorite movie selection for the
2016 Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival held at the Fox Theatre.
Chosen by a contest held on the Fox Theatre’s Facebook page, fans of romance, comedy and classic movies were urged to campaign for their preferred genre of film and then vote for their favorite movie from the selected category. Moviegoers voted to see “Some Like it Hot” return to the big screen, beating out “The Wizard of Oz” and “The Notebook.” The film will be shown on Saturday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m.
“Some Like it Hot” will be shown on Fox Theatre’s 26-foot high x 56-foot-8-inch wide big screen, and patrons will enjoy movies under the “stars” with FoxTheatre’s distinct blue sky with twinkling stars and fluffy clouds. For select showings, Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival offers guests a magical pre-show experience that includes a sing-along with a vintage cartoon and the world renowned Mighty Mo organ.
