After my recent interview with International Conductor Jason Ikeem Rodgers, he told me that this event was sure to not disappoint, and he was right and exact!
Jason introduced the members of an all new African-American orchestra: Orchestra Noir at Studio No. 7 in Atlanta, GA. The event was created as just a taste of what the group is creating, and it was ELECTRIC!
After being greeted with walking appetizers and networking with fellow ambitious enterprenuers in an intimate VIP setting, the audience was wowed with talented instrumentalists and vocalists.
In a fast-paced, sometimes savage world, the return to refinement and well-rounded cultural events is needed. This event was that breath of fresh air…
Conductor Rodgers introduced the following members of Orchestra Noir:
Solomon Thorne – jazz singer
Christian Eason – opera singer
Terry Andrews – Flute
Lester Walker – trumpet
Felix Farrar – violin
Tramaine Wilkes Jones – violin
Lelia M. Walker – viola
Spencer Brewer – Cello
Jackie Pickett – acoustic bass
Ramon Pooser – electric bass
Lorenzo Sanford – drummer
From classical selections, to international pieces, to a tribute to Prince, the orchestra captivated the crowd from beginning to end.
In conclusion, Jason announced for the crowd to prepare for the official first feature concert set for the first weekend in September. Stay tuned for more details as I guarantee you will not want to miss it!
